Press section successfully optimized with iPRESS

Once again, impressive results were achieved during press section optimization - this time at Hamburger Containerboard Gelsenkirchen on PM1.

By combining our pressMASTER and the unique fabriCLEAN, the conventional slotted uhleboxes and HD showers were replaced on all 3 felts (pick-up, shoe press and bottom felt). This resulted in:

• Increase in felt life by 50%.
• Excellent dewatering characteristics of the felt throughout the felt life.
• Water consumption for HD cleaning of felts reduced by 80%.
• Dry content increased by up to 2.5%.
• Energy consumption for steam reduced by 10%.
• Vacuum height of pipe suction cups reduced and pump drive power enormously reduced.Considerable improvements in moisture and dry cross-profile.
